Please bring:
- Your Student ID card
- Your class schedule with course sections (not CRN numbers)
Your Student ID is required for all textbook purchases, rentals, and returns.
Our staff can help you find your required textbooks using your class schedule.
We recommend purchasing textbooks as early as possible to ensure availability and avoid shipping delays for online orders.
Yes! Online ordering is available.
When creating your online account:
- Use your USC ID as your username (Example: J12345678)
- Use the student’s name for pickup or shipping information
- The billing address must match the cardholder’s information
In-store purchases accept physical debit and credit cards.
American Express is accepted for online orders only.
Yes, select textbooks may be available for rental.
To rent textbooks, you must have:
- Your Student ID
- Your class schedule with sections (not CRN numbers)
- A physical debit or credit card
An access code is a digital code used to access online homework platforms, e-books, or course materials required for some classes.
Some classes may participate in the Course Access (Inclusive Access) program, which provides digital course materials through Blackboard or Canvas by the first day of class. Students in participating courses may have access to discounted digital materials and can review course information for opt-out details.
For questions regarding Course Access materials, please contact the bookstore.
The USC Sumter Bookstore does not process financial aid purchases. However, some VA students may qualify for a VA bookstore voucher. Students should contact the VA office to determine eligibility.

The Brand Ambassador Program gives students opportunities to participate in photoshoots, videos, social media content, and campus marketing while representing the bookstore.
